The Mental Capacity Act, 2013

The HMI West Region is delighted that Dr. Piers Gooding, NUIG, will present at the next regional meeting.

Piers joined the Centre for Disability Law and Policy, National University of Ireland, in March 2014 as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Piers received his doctorate in law from Monash University, Australia, within the Centre for the Advancement of Law and Mental Health. Piers more recently worked with the Australian Mental Health Commission. Piers’ work at the CDLP will focus on current and prospective legal capacity reform projects in Ireland and elsewhere.
