Tom Daly, HMI Council member, welcomed the large group of senior health managers who travelled to Manorhamilton for the meeting. Given the recent announcement of the Hospital Groups, the presentation by Colm Donaghy was timely. Mr. Donaghy gave a full account of his role, the background, and the competing pressures associated with this. His presentation was followed by a very active Q & A session with several audience members participating.
Tom, then introduced Francis Rogers who made a presentation regarding the current status of the HSE and the newly announced Groups. The active engagement of the audience followed the close of the meeting where people took the opportunity to network over refreshments.
