HMI East Region invites you to a live interactive webinar on the 21^st June, 2023 from 13.00 to 14.00.

At our meeting in November of last year those who attended were given a very comprehensive overview of the rollout of the Regional Health Areas. We are delighted to be joined once again by Mr. Leo Kearns & Mr. Liam Woods who will provide an update on the current status of the implementation.

RHAs will ensure the alignment of hospital and community healthcare services at a regional level, based on defined populations and their local needs. This is key to delivering on the Sláintecare vision of an integrated health and social care service.

As work progresses to implement the six Regional Health Areas (RHAs) and align the integration of care, the RHA Advisory Group provides support and guidance as the Department of Health and HSE plan for the transition towards RHAs.  Leo chairs the Regional Health Advisory Group and is the Chief Executive of the Medical Council.

The HSE has appointed Liam Woods to head up the operational transition to Regional Healthcare Associations. This is one of the major pillars of Sláintecare.  Liam was previously National Director of Acute Operations.  There will be an opportunity for HMI members to ask questions to the panel at the end of the conversation.
