HWL 2023 – The EAHM Innovation Award in Healthcare Management, start-up of the year and medical research award has opened for applications
The European Association of Hospital Managers – EAHM is pleased to announce the third edition of the “EAHMInnovation Award in Hospital Management” and is now open to applications.
This year, the event will form an integral part of the Healthcare Week Luxembourg (www.hwl.lu ), which will take place from 20 to 22 September 2023 on the premises of the International Fair of Luxembourg (Luxexpo The Box).
Organised by the Luxembourg Hospital Federation (FHL), the Healthcare Week Luxembourg Awards 2023 are part of the
Healthcare Week Luxembourg programme, an event that aims to develop cooperation between players in the “Greater Region’s” healthcare sector in a European context.
Based on topics covered at the conferences and round tables scheduled for Healthcare Week Luxembourg, the awards aim to reward the best hospital projects in the fields of innovation. Three prizes in three different categories will be awarded at a gala evening on 21 September.
Three awards categories:
- The European Association of Hospital Managers (EAHM-AEDH-EVKM) will award a prize to the best innovative project in the field of hospital management in Europe and neighbouring countries.
- The FHL, the Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy and Luxinnovation will be giving the start-up of the year prize to a particularly ambitious and promising project that contributes to the improvement of the health sector.
- The FHL and the Society of Medical Sciences of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will select a medical research project carried out in direct or indirect collaboration with a hospital that provides a relevant solution for the healthcare sector.
Applicants must be located in the Greater Region Territoire — Grande Region, Territorium – Großregion to be able to apply for the categories 2 and 3.
Participation in category 1 is open to candidates from all EAHM member countries.

In each category, three finalists will be selected by a jury composed of healthcare professionals. The finalists will then be invited to make a live pitch in front of the audience on 20 and 21 September. Only one candidate per category will be awarded a prize at the end of the presentations.
Anyone wishing to enter the HWL AWARDS 2023 has until 15 July 2023 to send a completed submission to: hwl-awards@fhlux.lu by filling out the application form for the category of their choice. The results of the pre-selection process will be announced by the end of August 2023 at the latest.
