There was a large attendance at the recent presentation given by Liam Woods, National Director, Acute Hospitals Division, who spoke about the recently released ED Task Force Report. Liam began his presentation giving the relevant statistics on demographics and ED attendances. Last year, had seen a deterioration in ED trolley waits in comparison with the previous three years. The ED Report has identified 118 areas of priority including the areas of capacity, capability, control and enabling consistent improvement across all hospitals. It was an engaging presentation which led to many questions and comments from the floor later.
