There was a full house for the most recent DNE Forum, held in the Regional Education Centre, Ardee, on the 22nd of June. Three different presentations around delivering change were given by the excellent speakers.
Orla Treacy, Anne McMurray and Brian Kirwan
Orla Treacy, Director, National Health Stat Project provided an update on CompStat, which she described as a work in progress. She said that CompStat is:
- A Performance Management system, underpinned by:
- Timely performance measurement and reporting
- Monthly engagements
- Web enabled presentation & interpretation
Orla’s presentation included a demonstration of how CompStat will work in practice on a month by month basis.
Anne McMurray, CAWT, gave an overview of the change process, the challenges that managers face and how to overcome them.
Brian Kirwan, Assistant National Director, Corporate Employee Relations Service during his presentation outlined how the PSA provided an unique opportunity to implement change.
