The Healthcare Informatics Society of Ireland will host a Professional Educational Event on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:00pm on ‘The Implications of Mobile Technology in Facilitating Integrated Care’ by Dr. Albert Alonso MD.

Technological Innovation Unit, HCPB Information Systems Directorate, Villarroel, Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Alonso is senior researcher at the Hospital Clinic Barcelona (HCPB) Information Systems Directorate. He has worked on the research lines of ICT supported models of care for chronic patients since 2000. His expertise is mainly in the areas of definition of functionalities, services modelling and evaluation methodologies. He has also been responsible for the management of several EU-funded projects.
